Sachiko ist ein klassischer japanischer Frauenname, der aus zwei Kanji zusammengesetzt ist: 幸 (sachi, Glück oder Wohlstand) und 子 (ko, Kind), zusammen also 'Kind des Glücks' oder 'glückliches Kind'. Das Suffix -ko war während der Shōwa-Ära (1926–1989) äußerst verbreitet und wurde besonders von der kaiserlichen Familie und dem Adel geschätzt.
