📖 À propos Fabius

Fabius est un prénom de la Rome antique, issu de l'illustre gens Fabia, l'une des plus anciennes familles patriciennes de l'histoire romaine. Dérivé du latin faba (« fève »), il reflète les traditions de nomination agricole de la Rome primitive. Les Fabii ont produit de grands hommes d'État et généraux, notamment Quintus Fabius Maximus, dont la stratégie d'usure contre Hannibal lui valut le surnom de « Cunctator » (le Temporisateur) et donna naissance au concept de « stratégie fabienne », encore cité dans la pensée militaire et politique. Aujourd'hui rare, le nom conserve une résonance classique et savante.
