Mohammad est l'une des variantes orthographiques les plus répandues de Muhammad, le prénom arabe issu de la racine sémitique ḥ-m-d (حمد), signifiant « louer » ou « être loué ». Il revêt une profonde signification religieuse en tant que nom du Prophète Muhammad (v. 570–632 apr. J.-C.), fondateur de l'islam.
